CITY OF TWENTYNINE PALMS PLAGUED WITH A RASH OF ILLEGAL DUMPING

2

During the past two weeks, the City of Twentynine Palms has experienced a rash of illegal dumping in the southeast portion of the City. One site was in the vicinity of Wilshire Avenue and Baseline Road, and one was a half mile above Sahara Avenue and Morning Drive. Each of these sites filled two 40-cubic yard construction dumpsters. The city sent out Public Works personnel to remove the hundreds of black plastic bags filled with old clothes and trash. All the trash was dumped between September 1 and September 9. The city is conducting an investigation into the illegal dumping. Anyone with any information should call Code Enforcement at 760-367-6799, extension 1010.DSCN9134 DSCN9136 DSCN9137 IMG_2356
