’Tis the season to decorate your houses and businesses with holiday lighting. Assignment Reporter Cassie Zimarik has some important lighting safety tips…
With the Christmas season, here comes quite a bit of holiday decorating. One thing that you should be careful about is Christmas lights. While the twinkly lights seem fun, make sure you are only using lights that have been safety tested and do not have any broken bulbs, frayed or bare wires, or loose connections, as these can pose a fire hazard. Always fasten outdoor lights securely to protect from wind damage, and finally, never use more than three standard-sized sets of lights per single extension cord. By using these tips, you can ensure you and your family a happy and bright Christmas.
