The Morongo Basin CHP conducted speed enforcement details on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley and on State Route 247 in Landers Wednesday (May 6). During the detail, CHP Officers issued 36 citations for speeding and other violations. One vehicle was impounded for driving on a suspended license. The Special Enforcement Detail will continue throughout the month of May. The CHP asks that you please put down the distractions, slow down, and get to your destination safely.
