CHP OFFERS “AGE WELL DRIVE SMART” CLASSES FOR SENIORS

The California Highway Patrol is offering classes in Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley for drivers age 55 and older. Reporter Rebecca Havely has all the details…
“Age Well Drive Smart” are free classes being offered by the California Highway Patrol. The goal is to help seniors maintain their driving independence for as long as they can safely drive. The course aims to refresh participants’ knowledge of the rules of the road, as well as how to adjust to normal age related physical and mental changes. The class is offered in Twentynine Palms on Tuesday, November 17, at 10 a.m. at the Twentynine Palms City Hall in the Council Chambers. The Yucca Valley class will be offered at the Yucca Valley Town Hall in the Ocotillo Room on Wednesday, November 18 at 10 a.m. Class lasts 1 ½ to 2 hours and there’s no need to sign up in advance.
