CHP LOOKING FOR HELP IN LOCATING HIT AND RUN DRIVER

The California Highway Patrol is asking for help in finding the driver involved in a hit-and-run that hospitalized a man. According to the CHP, Paul Paddock, 22, of Twentynine Palms, was sitting on the ground in front of Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown about 2 a.m. Sunday, June 28, with his legs extended out into the westbound lane of Pioneertown Road. The CHP says an unknown vehicle, driving westbound, drove over Paddock’s left leg, and failed to stop. Paul Paddock was taken to Loma Linda Medical Center with major injuries. Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle should call the CHP at 760-366-3707.
