Tumbling and cheer classes are being offered by Twentynine Palms Recreation.
The tumbling classes are designed for girls and boys ages 3 to 5. Classes are held on Thursday mornings at the Twentynine Palms Community Center from 9:30 to 10:15 for 3-year-olds and from 10:30 to 11:15 for 4- and 5-year-olds. Classes begin September 7. Cheer classes are offered for girls and boys ages 5-13. Participants will be introduced to cheerleading and tumbling fundamentals, movement and physical fitness. Instructor Lisa Hemmie is safety-skills certified and has been in the spirit industry for over 31 years. Join Lisa Thursday, August 31, at 5:30 p.m. for a meet and greet session in the racquetball court at Luckie Park. Spaces are limited. Register online at 29palms.org
