Changes Come to the Pioneer Days Parade

This year’s Pioneer Days parade will feature some familiar voices in a new location. The 86th annual Parade starts at 10:00 am this Saturday (October 15) and will follow the same route from years past, starting on State Route 62 at Split Rock going East to Adobe Road and then north on Adobe to Sun Valley Drive.

A big change this year is the location of the announcers stand – for many years the announcers were set-up on Adobe Road, across the street from City Hall, almost at the end of the parade. This year the announcers, Z107.7’s own Gary Daigneault and Cody Joseph, will be on the Highway in front of the new Freedom Plaza near the start of the parade. Parade entry judging will be done at the formation area and Daigneault and Joseph will announce the award winners as they approach the sound booth.
