It’s that time of year again when the days are getting longer and spring is in the air. This Sunday March 8 its time to spring ahead. Reporter Sara Snyder has more…
Sunday, March 8 is the start of Daylight Saving Time, which means it’s time to “spring forward” one hour. This Saturday night before you go to bed, move your clocks ahead one hour. Its also the perfect time to change the batteries in all your smoke detectors. Electronic devices may change their clocks automatically but it’s up to you to keep you and your family safe by changing those smoke alarm batteries. Test them to ensure that they work properly. A working smoke alarm can decrease a family’s risk of dying in a house fire by nearly 50 percent. Smoke alarms should be placed on every floor of your home, in every bedroom, as well as outside sleeping areas.
