CHANGE COMING FOR COUNTY TELEVISION SERVICE VIEWERS

A big change is coming for those who rely on the county for their television service. Last week, the San Bernardino County Special Districts Department learned that current FCC regulations will no longer permit KESQ in Palm Springs to transmit its signal outside of the Coachella Valley. Beginning this week, the county’s television districts CSA70-TV-2 in Morongo Valley, CSA70-TV-4 in the Mesa, and CSA70-TV-5 in Wonder Valley will be transitioned to the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles. Technicians will go out to the county’s broadcast towers this week to program KABC Channel 7 onto the previous channel. Some homeowners may need to re-scan their television in order to receive the broadcast. For more information, call 909-387-5942.
