The Joshua Tree Art Gallery’s new show presents two artists whose work challenges our perceptions of women. Cat Celebrezze and Nancy Floyd are the artists who are featured at the Joshua Tree Art Gallery in September. Celebrezze’s show, “Building a Better Baphomet,” is inspired by the pagan transgender god. Floyd’s show, “She’s Got a Gun,” features powerful, compelling images of Floyd’s research on the topic of women who use guns in three specific areas: for pleasure, for self-defense, and in their professions. Gallery hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 3p.m. A closing reception will be held on Sunday, September 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. JTAG is located on the highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
