Let’s get serious about cereal. Hi-Desert Medical Center, Hi-Desert Publishing Co., and Z107.7 are sponsoring a cereal food drive June 3 through June 10. Local businesses will have donation bins for customers and employees to donate cereal boxes. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Cereal donations will be provided to the The Way Station in Joshua Tree; monetary donations will be given to the FIND food bank in Indio, which partners with The Way Station. Businesses that collect the most food and monetary donations will win advertising prizes and their employees will be invited to a free barbecue.
