A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. All are welcome to attend the service, “Christmas in September.” To honor her favorite time of year, dressing in your favorite Christmas-y attire is encouraged, but not required. Cantelo founded “Tender Loving Christmas” 33 years ago an annual event that offered a free Christmas feast as well as clothing and food give-a-ways with live entertainment for one and all. The “Christmas in September” service will be held Friday, September 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center at 57090 Twentynine Palms Highway. If you have any pictures to share you are asked to please bring them to the community center in an envelope marked “Candy;” Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
