Celebration of Life for Jeri Tomes happening this Saturday in Landers (9/26)

Landers residents recently learned that Jeri Tomes passed away on August 31. Affectionately known as JT, she was their beloved long-time lead clerk at the Landers Post Office. She was friendly and helpful to all she met and is remembered with great fondness. JT worked for the United States Postal Service from November 1997 until her retirement in 2022, when she moved to Arizona to be closer to her family. She was on her way to a doctor’s appointment when she died in a single car accident. JT was 71 years old.

There will be a Celebration of Life and Potluck for her on Saturday September 26, at the Landers Moose Lodge, 58266 Reche road in Landers. The potluck begins at 4:00 p.m. and there will be a band playing from 6-8:00 p.m. Moose members and their guests are encouraged to attend.
