The Homestead Valley Community Council’s Summer Solstice Fest, scheduled for Saturday, June 19, has been canceled due to the extreme heat. The council decided that the well-being of community residents is more important.
They remind you to:
- Drink water, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Take a bottle with you always.
- Hot cars kill. Never leave kids, older people or pets in cars.
- Keep cool.
- Plan ahead.
- Check-in on others.
