CATHEDRAL CITY MAN ACCUSED OF STALKING AND HARASSING

A Cathedral City man was arrested Thursday, accused of stalking and harassing a Morongo Basin resident. According to a Sheriff’s press release, Joseph Nila, 35, was arrested April 9 and subsequently convicted of stalking and vandalism. He was placed on probation. In July, detectives learned that Nila was re-contacting the victim. Morongo Basin detectives, with assistance of the Probation Department, searched Nila’s home in Cathedral City. Joseph Nila was arrested again on suspicion of identity theft and stalking, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $150,000.
