CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR SPAMALOT AT THEATRE 29

Theatre 29 and Director Kathryn Ferguson have announced the cast for the next production at Theatre 29, the Broadway smash musical, “Monty Python’s Spamalot.” This musical will take the stage for five weeks beginning August 23. In this farcical re-telling of the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail, “Monty Python’s Spamalot” features a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, catapulting cows, coconut-carrying swallows and one legless knight. “Spamalot” does include some light language and mock violence (but, it’s only a flesh wound!) Reporter Sara Snyder gets out her program to tell us who’s who in the cast…
In the role of King Arthur, the genuine, but misguided leader of this band of wacky knights, is Charles Harvey. As his ever loyal “horse,” Patsy, is Gary Daigneault. The Lady of the Lake will be portrayed by Analisa Pilecki. The “Knights of the Round Table,” who also play multiple supporting roles, are Kurt Schauppner as “The strangely flatulent” Sir Bedevere; Ben Bees as the “dashingly handsome” Sir Galahad; Jericho McWilliams as the “homicidally brave” Sir Lancelot; and Leonard Weber as Sir Robin, “the not-quite-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot.” The supporting cast includes the “Laker Girls” Katie VanSumeren, Lizzie Schmelling, Cindy Ross, Linnea Hilderbrand and Brynn McDonald. The company is rounded out by Scott Clinkscales (as the Historian), Cyrus Short (Not Dead Fred and Prince Herbert), Nick Reiner (Sir Bors), Marv Schmelling (Knight of Ni), Cody Joseph (Finland Mayor), and James Hodgson. Tickets can be purchased now online at www.theatre29.org, or by calling the box office at 760-361-4151. Productions run Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. from August 23 to September 21, with two Sunday matinees September 1 and 15 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 to $12.
