The provoking sci-fi, classic “The Man From” is in rehearsals now at Theatre 29. The cast includes Jared Phillips as John Oldman, a professor with a mysterious tale to tell. Newcomer Mariah Gouge will play his love interest, Sandy. In the roles of his professor colleagues are Robert Ames and Theatre 29 favorites, Easy Boos and Kurt Schaupner. The psychiatrist Dr. Will will be portrayed by Les Taylor. Newcomer Sylvia White will play Edith, a fervently religious art history professor, and Brittany Smith will portray the bright young grad student Linda. This mysterious tale is told by science fiction Hall of Fame writer, Jerome Bixby known for his contributions to Rod Serling’s “The Twilight Zone.” The production is directed by Eddie Tucker.
