“The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Christmas Carol” has been cast at Theatre 29. The stalwart leader of the group, Phoebe Reece, will be portrayed by Donette Swain. She plays multiple roles in the show within a show. Her grumpy, arch-rival, Thelma Greenwood, will be played by Kathryn Ferguson. The role of the accident-prone, Mercedes Baxter-Smythe, went to Mandi Pushkar. The young ingenue Felicity Kumar will be played by Lisa Goldberg. Edward Pierce will take the role of Gordon Pugh, the company’s stage manager, who is pressed into duty on stage when a cast member can’t go on. The comedic spoof “Farndale Christmas Carol” will run November 20 through December 19 on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. with 2:30 Sunday matinees on November 29 and December 13.
