About 12:30 Tuesday morning, Twentynine Palms firefighters were called to another crash, this one in the 72100 block of Sullivan Road. Sheriff’s deputies determined that Nathan Pfeifer, 23, of Twentynine Palms, was drunk and had been driving too fast, and lost control of his gray Nissan Altima. The car went off the road and drove through the garage and came to rest in the front yard. Pfeifer and his passenger were uninjured, and while the garage was damaged, the house is structurally OK. Nathan Pfeifer was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence, and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
