The deadline to file for a seat on the Yucca Valley Town Council has also been extended, since incumbent George Huntington is not seeking re-election. So far, four candidates have filed papers with the county elections office to run for two open seats on the Yucca Valley Town Council. Those who have filed their papers so far are incumbent Robert Lombardo; Jeff Drozd, currently on the Planning Commission; Eric Quander, a Parks and Rec commissioner, and Jeri Wilson.
And for the healthcare district’s board, four candidates are running for three seats: Patricia Cooper, Misty Evans, Dianne Markle-Greenhouse, and Joe Sullivan.
The two seats on the Hi-Desert Water District board of directors, currently held by Sarann Graham and Bob Stadum, are uncontested.
