Citizens interested in running for one of the offices with an extended deadline may obtain and file the appropriate documents during regular business hours at the San Bernardino County Elections Office. The extended deadline applies to candidates running for the Morongo Unified School District with three open seats, the Hi-Desert Memorial Healthcare District with three open board seats, and the Joshua Basin Water District, also with three board seats in play. All are four-year terms. Three incumbents, Dick Rogers, Mary Lombardo, and Greg Gilbert filed for three open seats on the Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees. No other candidates filed as of Friday, so three will appear on the ballot unopposed.
