The County Registrar of Voters has announced that the candidate filing deadline has been extended for four agencies in the Morongo Basin:
Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency; Morongo Valley Community Services District; Hi-Desert Memorial Healthcare District; and the Yucca Valley Airport District. The deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, because an incumbent did not file candidacy papers by Friday. The deadline is extended for new candidates only. The Registrar of Voters website does not include any information yet about candidates for Twentynine Palms City Council or Yucca Valley Town Council.
