CAMPING ETIQUETTE

Is there an etiquette to camping at the Joshua Tree National Park? Here’s Park Ranger Pam trip with some guidelines… Visitors come from all over the world to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the desert here at Joshua Tree National Park. Some come for rock climbing, some for hiking, some for just a drive through. However, many others come to camp and enjoy the nights under the stars. While there are different reasons and ways that people like to enjoy a camping experience, please observe campground etiquette for the other campers who have also arrived and wish to enjoy their time as well.
-Reserving sites ahead of time is not allowed at the first come first serve campgrounds. Only reserve your sites once you have arrived to set up and begin your camping.
-Keep noise to a minimum. If playing music, keep it at a level that will not interfere with the enjoyment of your camping neighbors and families.
