Joshua Tree National Park Ranger George Land reminds campers of some visitation rules…

As visitation to Joshua Tree National Park increases, many people are making the trip to come in and enjoy the park, including those who wish to camp. The park has eight campgrounds and a total of 494 campsites. Only two campgrounds accept reservations; others are first-come, first-served. There are regulations to adhere to when planning and camping in this beautiful desert park: No more than two vehicles, three tents, and six people are allowed per site, at all times. Groups over six people cannot gather in one spot, as this has a negative impact on the surrounding resources. Feel free to contact us by phone or online at www.nps.gov/jotr for more information on the best way to enjoy your camping experience. For Z107.7, this is Park Ranger George Land, encouraging you to plan ahead and enjoy your trip to your national park.
