Formerly operated as the Roughley Manor Bed & Breakfast, and now under shared ownership with the 29 Palms Inn, the Campbell House returns to its roots with a recent name change that honors the original homesteaders. Bill and Elizabeth Campbell left their mark not only on Twentynine Palms, but also on our understanding of the archaeological landscape of the National Park, and the presence of early man in North America. Their incredible tale is the subject of a free presentation, “The life and legacy of Elizabeth and William Campbell,” by archaeologist, teacher, and researcher Dr. Joan Schneider. Presented on location at the Campbell House this Sunday, November 13, at 4 p.m. Wine and cheese will precede the presentation. Seating is limited, and an RSVP is required by reserving your seat online at CampbellHouse29Palms.com where more information and history of this fascinating property may also be found.
