Caltrans has launched a new campaign in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties focused on addressing the ongoing problem of litter on state highways and local roads. Reporter Ernest Figueroa has the details…
On July 7, Caltrans launched its Clean California Campaign in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Through the new project, Caltrans will partner with local agencies, tribes, and underserved communities to expand litter removal along state and local highways, rest areas, tribal lands, pathways, transit centers, and other public places; and bring attention to art and beautification projects in both counties. The campaign will generate an estimated 10,000 jobs over three years, including opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, at-risk youth, and people re-entering society following incarceration.
