You’ve seen the billboards along Highway 62 and Interstate 10: a face with tire treads on it and the message “You’ll never know who you run into: Look Both Ways.” CalTrans officially kicked off a public safety campaign called Look Both Ways. Accidents involving pedestrians and vehicles have risen in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, especially in the Morongo Basin. CalTrans is hoping to spread the message to both motorists and pedestrians to look both ways before crossing a street to reduce these accidents.
