Desert artists are reminded of the call for art for the next Art in Public Places exhibition, “In the Wilderness: Celebrating the California Desert.” Artists should deliver their artwork Friday, September 25, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to the Twentynine Palms visitor center and art gallery in downtown Twentynine Palms. The exhibition will be on display from October 1 through January 8. An opening art reception is planned for Friday, October 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Music and refreshments will be available. Artwork may be paintings, mixed media, photography, or three-dimensional work, and should reflect the theme of celebrating the California desert wilderness.
