The fourth annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition will be held September 17 and 18 in Twentynine Palms. A call for art entries is now being issued for the exposition’s annual Juried Art Exhibition, which will be displayed at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery for the month of September, with an awards reception for artists and the public set for Saturday night, Sept. 17. Entry submissions for the juried exhibition are being accepted until Friday, July 22, and may be submitted online or by mail. The theme for the juried exhibition is artwork depicting or inspired by the unique aspects of Joshua Tree National Park or its cultural history. Approximately 50 artists will be selected for the honor of exhibiting in the show. They also will be included in the exhibition catalogue and will be eligible for cash awards. Entry is open to national and international visual artists age 18 and over. The artist’s work must be original and created within the last five years.
