The California Welcome Center is presenting its inaugural art festival that will feature California-themed works of art. With all the festive details here’s Rebecca Havely.
California-themed paintings, photography, mixed media, ceramics, assemblage, fabric art, and jewelry will be offered at more than two dozen artist booths. The outdoor art festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, from 9 to 5. On Saturday at 10 a.m., the art contest winners will be announced. Free souvenir catalogs featuring contest and festival participant artwork will be available at the California Welcome Center before and during the event which will be staged at the large parking lot behind the Welcome Center at 56711 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. Food and beverage vendors will be on site. Admission is free.
