The California Citizens Redistricting Commission is responsible for drawing new district lines for the US House of Representatives, State Senate, State Assembly, and State Board of Equalization districts this year. The Commission will hold a presentation at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, on the basics of redistricting with a live question and answer period following. Topics covered include: What is redistricting? What is fair representation? Why is it important? What will be considered when drawing new maps? And how can residents become involved? The event will be live streamed. Advance registration is requested.
