CALIFORNIA RANKS LOW FOR MILITARY RETIREES

Wallet Hub, a social media company that provides financial information and comparisons, ranked all 50 states and the District of Columbia on 19 different factors concerning military retirees. California ranked 50th in the number of veterans per 100 habitants, at 4.76, compared to number 1, Virginia, with 10.37. California also has the second highest percentage of vets who are homeless compared to the number of vets living in the state, with .845 percent (the District of Columbia has the most, with 1.601 percent), while Virginia again, has the lowest percent, at .086 percent. California is tied with New Jersey for 48th for affordable housing costs. And it is 49th with the number of veteran-owned businesses per 1,000 habitants, at 6.35, compared to number 1, Montana’s 12.17. The complete report can be seen with this story at Z1077fm.com.
