The California Department of Forestry and Fire protection will be suspending burn permits and other uses of open fire indefinitely in all state lands within San Bernardino County. According to a recent release from Cal Fire, the decision was made due to the extreme menace of destruction by fire to life, improved property or natural resources caused by critical fire weather and acute dryness of vegetation. The order will go into effect on May 14 beginning at 6 a.m. and will remain in effect until further notice.
