In the report released by the personal-finance website WalletHub, California college students are at the bottom of the list with the least amount of average student loan debt (48th out of 50). California college students are 49th out of 50 for the amount of their student debt as a percentage of their income, adjusted for cost of living; and California college students are right in the middle of the pack for unemployment rate (20th), availability of student jobs (27th), and availability of paid internships (27th).
