Saturday looks to be a busy day at Landers Belfield Hall. The Thrift Shoppe will be open extended hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the big Back to School Clothing Sale for kids up to grade six. Also Saturday, the School Supplies Drive continues. Pitch in for the youngsters at Landers Elementary who need backpacks, binders, pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, glue, Crayons, and the like. Donations may be dropped off at Belfield Hall until 4 p.m. The Landers Community Association also meets Saturday starting at 3 p.m. On the agenda is the Landers Labor Day Fireworks Spectacular, the November 4 Pre-Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair, the October 14 Hobo Luncheon, and the illegal dump site that recently turned up at Giant Rock. Vendors can sign up for an event space at the meeting; membership is not required to attend. Belfield Hall is at 58308 Reche Rd., just east of the Landers Post Office.
