The controversial plan by NextEra Energy to put an industrial scale solar plant at the site of the old Joshua Tree Airport goes before the county planning commission in San Bernardino this Thursday. A 9 a.m. public hearing will proceed any decision. County field rep Mark Lundquist has arranged free transportation to the hearing. A bus will depart the County Government Building on the highway at White Feather Road in Joshua Tree at 6:15 a.m. Thursday morning and return following the meeting.
