BURN PERMITS FOR CAMPFIRES

Now that fall and cooler weather are here, many people are enjoying the night air by sitting around a campfire. CountyFire Captain Mark Murphy of the Yucca Mesa fire station reminds residents and visitors that all campfires and warming fires require a permit. The permits are free; just drop by the fire station to get the permit. Murphy also recommends that a fire extinguisher and other fire prevention tools, such as hoses, be nearby in case the fire gets out of control.
