A transient was arrested Thursday evening after a resident found him in her garage in Joshua Tree, allegedly trying to steal a bicycle. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 61600 block of Capilla Drive went out to her garage Thursday and found Kent Browner, 23, inside, trying to steal a bike. The woman chased off Browner, but he came back about 6 p.m., at which time, she called police. Browner fled toward Sunset, but the responding deputy located him in the 6100 block of Division Street. Kent Browner was arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
