Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a burglary of food at a Twentynine Palms church. Deputies were called to the Two Mile Apostolic Tabernacle in the 74300 block of Two Mile Road about noon on Wednesday. The thieves had pried open a door and took about $700 in food, as well as other supplies. The church has an alarm, but it had not been re-activated after a gardener for the church had left.
