BURGLARS LEAVE PUPPY BEHIND

Instead of taking items from a vacant apartment, these burglars left something behind. About7:30 Tuesday night, a maintenance worker noticed a vacant apartment in the 73500 block of Sunnyslope in Twentynine Palms had been broken into. When a Sheriff’s deputy searched the apartment, a 2 ½-month-old pit bull puppy was found. The chocolate-colored puppy was turned over to the Palms N Paws animal shelter. If he is not claimed by his owners, the sweet little puppy will be up for adoption June 8.
