The comedic musical whodunit “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” is now playing at Theatre 29 through June 27. Based on Charles Dickens’ unfinished novel, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” recreates the lively, bawdy world of a Victorian-era British music hall. A distinguished company of actors attempts to tell the story of the upstanding young Edwin Drood, who mysteriously disappears, presumably murdered. But who did it? The audience has the final word, voting on who did the dirty deed.
“The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” directed by Theatre 29 veteran Charles Harvey, will play 7 p.m. tonight with a 2:30 Sunday matinee, June 7. Tickets are $12 regular, $10 seniors and military, and $8 for students with ID or children under 12. Tickets for all performances are available for purchase now at theatre29.org or by calling the Box Office at 760-361-4151.
