Breaking news in Yucca Valley…2 suspects are in custody after an attempted car jacking leaves one man dead and an Officer shot. Sheriff Deputies were called to town Center mall near Hope Academy Thursday morning. Steve Miller works at the Mall.
“They attempted to car jack this guy in the white car- he wouldn’t surrender the car, they then shot through the window and fled the scene.”
The victim was driving a white Nissan Altima and was pronounced dead on the scene. According to witnesses Officers exchanged gunfire with the two suspects and a California Patrolman was shot in the leg after a high speed chase ended on I-10.
Kathy Allenbach was leaving 5 Star Gym when she heard the shot.
“I heard the shot and I looked up and saw the car off the edge.”
