BREAKING NEWS: CHRISTOPHER LEE CASE TRANSFERRED TO SAN BERNARDINO COURT

Christopher Lee and his attorney were in court again today, to hear if a new judge will be assigned to their case. Managing editor Tami Roleff has the details…

In a Joshua Tree courtroom today, Judge Rodney Cortez followed a court decision handed down by the Fourth Circuit court of Appeals and passed the gavel in the Christopher Lee murder case over to Judge Glenn Yabuno in San Bernardino. Lee’s attorney, David Kaloyanides, had file a peremptory challenge in April, asking Judge Cortez to  disqualify himself, which Cortez denied, saying the request was not timely, but the appeals court overruled Cortez. Lee will next appear in a San Bernardino courtroom Thursday, September 24, at which time he may be re-arraigned and trial dates will be set. Christopher Lee, 26, is accused of killing Erin Corwin in June 2014, and dumping her body down a mine shaft east of Twentynine Palms.
