BREAKFAST AND QUILT RAFFLE IN JOHNSON VALLEY

The Johnson Valley Improvement Association is offering breakfast tomorrow (Saturday, December 5) from 7 to 10 a.m. Diners have a choice of eggs cooked your way, omelets, breakfast burrito, French toast, pancakes, and more. A large breakfast is $6, small breakfast is $4. Call ahead at 760-792-4555 to order before your arrival. Managing editor Tami Roleff says diners will have shopping opportunities when they arrive for breakfast… When you come to the JV Saturday Breakfast-To-Go, you not only get a hearty breakfast, you can take the opportunity to get tickets to win a brilliant king-size patchwork quilt. Made by Betty Butler to be a fundraiser for the Flamingo Heights Community Association, the quilt tickets are just $1 each or 6 for $5. You do not have to be present to win at the drawing on Wednesday, December 16.

The Johnson Valley Improvement Association also has fundraiser items for sale, like a 7-function pen that’s a toolbox in your pocket and the history book: Heart Bar Ranch and Johnson Valley Neighbors, by Martha Coutant for $20. For your off-roader friends, remember the Sidekick Bandana Map silk-screened with Johnson Valley OHV Area trails (only $8) or a folding paper map, $3.
