BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OFFERS DAY CARE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert continues to offer all day childcare for area students ages 6-18 at their transitioned Distance Learning Center, as well as an afterschool program. The cost is $60 per week for childcare at the distance learning center from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., $20 per week for after school programs from 3-5 p.m., or $70 per week for the all-day program from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Social distancing will be implemented, and temperature checks and facemasks will be required. volunteers to assist with the distance learning program are still needed.

The Boys and Girls Club is also still in need of donations of water bottles, webcams, headphones with microphones, and basic school supplies for the programs. For more information, call (760)-365-5437.

With the pandemic closing the doors of the district schools, the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert has made it its mission to be open for the new school year to help the local first responders and essential workers. Therefore, the Boys and Girls Club has created a new program for its members that offers all day child care, which includes its transitioned Distance Learning Center to supervise during virtual learning. Additionally, the club is offering an after school program that will allow the kids to get active and creative.

The Program Rates:

We have flat rates with our all day program from 7am-5pm – $70

Our Distance Learning school day from 7am-3pm – $60

Our after school program from 3pm-5pm – $20

While COVID is still a concern, we are implementing social distancing, temperature checks, as well as face mask requirements for the safety of our members and staff. Our upcoming program brings opportunity for much needed volunteers to help in our Distance Learning Center during our school hours. Reliable volunteers will not only give our kids as much help and success as possible, but can also result in future paid positions.

In order for this program thrive we are asking for donations such as:
