BOY ARRESTED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS FOR ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

A Twentynine Palms juvenile was arrested Wednesday afternoon, accused of trying to break into a home. According to a Sheriff’s report, the 16-year-old boy tried to kick in the front door of a home in the 5500 block of Baileya Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 1:15. When he was unsuccessful, he fled. A witness provided a name and description of the boy, who was subsequently located by the Sheriff’s Department’s Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms juvenile officers, Deputies Shaunna Ables and Brandon Abell. The report states that the juvenile admitted to trying to kick in the home’s front door because he wanted to steal computer games. The boy was arrested for attempted burglary.
