BoxoProjects will stream an online artist talk Saturday, March 21, featuring its artist-in-residence Jim Toia. Toia’s talk will be on “Crust Lust.” The top layer of desert soil comprising the crust is made up of organisms weaving together to form a microcosm crucial to the stability of the desert environment and its inhabitants. Toia and his collaborator Joe Biondo have captured highly magnified images of the desert crust and printed them on hexagonal panels.
