BOXOHOUSE OPEN HOUSE

An open house will be held Sunday, May 12, for BoxoHouse artist-in-residence Heather Johnson. Johnson rode her motorcycle from her home in New Jersey to Joshua Tree, looking for inspiration for her embroidery artwork along the way. For her residence project, “In Search of the Frightening and Beautiful,” she collected texts, artifacts, and other memorabilia from the places she visited. An open house of Heather Johnson’s works in progress will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at BoxoHouse, 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree.
