A special open house at Boxohouse in Joshua Tree for the Artist-In-Residence. Managing Editor Tami Roleff has your invitation…
BoxoHouse will hold an open house for its latest artist-in-residence. Nicola Ginzel transforms a selection of found and personal objects by gilding, embroidering, whitewashing, rubbing, and making casts to add layers of history and meaning to the objects. While in Joshua tree, Ginzel has been working with shaman guides on a process she calls “soul retrieval,” an exchange that gives back what belonged to someone else and getting back what belonged to the object in the metaphysical world. The open house is set for Saturday, March 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. BoxoHouse is located at 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree.
