“Tree of Pain: A Shoot from the Parched Earth” is an environmental installation by Shawn Skabelund that address climate change as much as it deals with the political climate. Using found materials as well as borrowed elements, the work fills the space with sense of decay and detritus, and the silent witness born of nature. The opening reception is set for Sunday, March 18, from 3 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through March 31. BoxoHouse is located at 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree.
